Trumer Pils, the traditional German pilsner that is brewed in Berkeley California, and the craft brewery is dedicated to the tradition of their brand – to a fault. Their stubborn adherence to an antiquated technology for the sake of marketing runs counter to craft beer’s biggest tenet: the beer should be the focus.

Total Wine and More – A Superstore That Pays Attention to the Local Community

Total Wine & More is a chain that has aggressively expanded across the country, and they operate a handful of Southland stores. While they may not be your locally-owned independent bottle shop, they are plugged in to the local scene and are working to develop relationships with LA brewers and others in the craft beer community.

One exciting way they are connecting customers with the local beer community is through their “local influencers” program, and Beer of Tomorrow was asked to provide some recommendations for our favorite local brews for in-store displays in May!

Find Beer Paper LA In Hollywood

Beer Paper LA – the new print publication dedicated to craft beer in LA, OC, and the Inland Empire – was unveiled on Tuesday to a throng of  exuberant craft beer lovers in Long Beach. Beachwood BBQ and Brewing was ground zero for a grass-roots effort to get the paper into your hands, and many supporters of the craft beer community and the new publication have pitched in to help distribute the paper to their local watering holes and bottle shops.

I drove my paper-route in my neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, and you should be able to score a copy of Volume 1, Issue 1 of Beer Paper LA at these Hollywood craft beer spots:

Angel City Brewery Officially Opens

While the Arts District brewery has been “soft opened” since February, over the weekend Angel City Brewery celebrated their official grand opening with the Heritage Music and Arts festival. The public house at the brewery is now open seven days a week for pours of the core ACB brews and the experimental batches that Brewmaster Dieter is cooking up.
