The final episode of Game of Thrones season two airs this Sunday, and we are huge fans of George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books and HBO’s epic adaptation of them. We’ve got recommendations on what to serve during your finale viewing party no matter who your favorite characters are!

In Part two of the series (part one is here) we will look at some of the show’s most loved and hated characters and pair each with a craft beer that captures the character’s spirit or would be a beer we think that character would drink on the night before battle. Read more →

“Beer is Culture” is the motto of New York brewery Sixpoint, and this TEDx talk by co-founder of Buffalo’s Community Beer Works Ethan Cox discusses the importance of craft beer’s in American culture and urban development. The talk, like all TED talks, is a mere 18 minutes, and it covers everything from the impact of microbreweries on America’s city-centers to the “third rooms” where people from disparate background come together to discuss their world over a beer. A highly informative and recommended video!

A Moment in Memoriam

Memorial Day began in the blood drenched years after the American War Between the States as a solemn remembrance of the lives claimed by that war. Today the holiday is more about enjoying the beginnings of summer, avoiding the office, and with offerings of grilled food and beer. At Beer of Tomorrow, we are all for the BBQs and beer (make it craft though please) but we want to take a brief moment to reflect upon the millions of soldiers, sailors, and airmen who have died in service of our great country.  Read more →
