Just a week after the “rebels of Fairfax”, Golden State was on Guy Fieri long-running Food TV travelogue, K-Town hot-spot Beer Belly is going to get the triple-D bump. It’s no secret that Beer Belly is one of our favorite spots to grab a bite and some brews — they’re even hosting our first anniversary party — and soon the popular destination is about to get even more popular.
Beer Belly has a reputation for being a crowded spot in the evenings, and the new exposure is sure to exacerbate the issue, but it couldn’t happen to better people. From owners Jimmy and Yume Han, to mad-genius chef Wes Lieberher, to the whole crew of rad servers, bar tenders, and cooks, the Beer Belly family deserves all the recognition and acclaim that they’re getting.
Tonight’s episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives — “Unlikely Partners” — features Beer Belly’s signature Death By Duck fries, my personal favorite Duck French Dip, and their intense BBQ Volcano Chipotle Jidori Chicken Wings. The episode will air at 7pm tonight on Food TV, so set those DVRs!
Feeling the crunch in the small room, owner Jimmy recently enabled Open Table on-line reservations for Beer Belly. So book a table next time you feel like some decadent and divine food and local beer.
And don’t miss the Beer of Tomorrow first anniversary party taking place at Beer Belly on March 30th beginning at 1pm!
