Boulevard Brewing Coming to California

Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewing, the 10th largest craft brewery in the country, is now distributing select beers in California! The acclaimed Smokestack Series beers should be making their way to store shelves now.
The Full Pint reports that Boulevard Brewing Co has expanded into three new markets outside of their home territory in the Midwest, and you can now find Boulevard beers in 24 states across the country. Youngs Market Company will be handling the distribution in California (although it sounds like California will be limited to only Boulevard’s Smokestack beers, and not their core line-up.)

The Smokestack Series is Boulevard’s premium line of “bigger, bolder, more complex brews that generally possess a higher alcohol content than our core brands, perfect for sipping or sharing” that are packaged in cork-finished 750ml champagne bottles. There are four year-round beers: The Sixth Glass, Double-Wide I.P.A., Long Strange Tripel, and Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, and a variety of highly regarded seasonal and special offerings – including the much-lauded Saison Brett - in the line-up. You can read more about the marque at the Boulevard FAQ.
We’ve been after some of the Boulevard Beers ever since getting out hands on their collaboration with Deschutes that resulted in what many consider the first commercial White IPA, and we’re very excited that some of the Midwest’s most acclaimed beers will be making their way into the LA-area!
Keep your eyes peeled, and let us know if you see any Boulevard Beers in the wild!

Urge Gastropub tweeted a pic of Boulevard beers today and said they will have them Tues.
