The winner of the tickets to Golden Road’s Better Weather Fest has been chosen and contacted, and we want to thank everyone who entered! Not a winner? You’ve got a couple more chances to score tickets!

The Results

The favorite LA Beer of the lucky Facebook fan who was chosen to receive the tickets from Gold Road Brewing was Golden Road’s own early brew Rye on the Palate. We have fond memories of this spicy and complex beer from the days before the grand opening of The Pub, and we hope to see it brewed again as it is a great autumn beer! We’ve collated the entries spread over the post’s comments, Facebook, and Twitter responses, and here are results of the highly unscientific voting:

With about 14% of the votes, the top beer among the entries was fittingly Eagle Rock Brewing’s Populist West Coast IPA. 

There was a three-way tie for the second spot between Golden Road’s Hefe and Wolf Among Weeds, and Eagle Rock’s Solidarity, with each beer taking about 10% of the votes.

In total there were seventeen different beers cited as favorites by the contest entrants! LA breweries have clearly come a long way in a short time with more varieties of brewed-in-LA beers than ever before!

Local favorite LA Beer site Beers in Paradise is also offering two tickets to Better Weather Fest, and all you need to do to enter their contest is leave a comment in this post that looks like this:

“ I can’t wait to try a (name of beer) by (brewery listed below) at the Better Weather Fest 2012 this Saturday.”

The deadline for the Beers in Paradise contest is Friday, September 21^st by 3pm, so head over there and enter to win!

Local NPR affiliate KCRW is also giving away FIVE pairs of tickets! Just head over to this post and leave a comment with “your pick for the perfect [food] and beer pairing” before 5pm Thursday the 20th.

Of course you can always just buy tickets to the event! Tickets are $30 each if you buy them before tomorrow, otherwise the price goes up to $40! So buy ‘em now! See you there!
