Just in time for the weekend, Filling Stations is a weekly post that highlights one of Los Angeles’ destinations for craft beer, be it a bottle-shop with a great selection, a restaurant with great food to go with their beer list, or a bar serving excellent beers.
Cap N’ Cork Junior Market
- Neighborhood: Los Feliz (View Larger Map)
- Type: Bottle Shop
- Yelp Page
- Selection: 4/5, Prices: 3/5, Staff: 4/5
Cap N’ Cork doesn’t look like much from the outside, but this mini market is one of the best bottle shops in the Los Feliz area.
There are no less than 10 refrigerated cases packed with a well-organized selection of imported beers, craft bombers, and six-packs of everything from small craft breweries to the big American producers. Prices are reasonable (perhaps slightly higher than the chain shops), the stock is kept refrigerated, and the staff is knowledgeable about the beer they are selling as well as their extensive wine and spirits selection.
They have a small parking lot, but in this neighborhood any parking is a blessing, and their selection of imported candy bars is a tasty bonus. Check out Cap N’ Cork next time you’re going to a show at the Vista or eating at one of the spots on Hilhurst and pick up a couple of bombers or a sixpack to-go. Let’s hear your thoughts on this Los Feliz bottle shop in the comments.
