It’s been a long time coming, but the canning line at Redlands brewery Hanger 24 is up and running! Cans of their Orange Wheat and Helles Lager will hit the shelves next week!
We first told you about Hangar 24’s plans to can their brew way back in April when they were hoping to get the line up and running by Summertime. They might have missed that goal, but the cans are finally coming! Head over to the Hangar 24 website to read a little about the process of getting the line set-up and why Hanger 24 chose to add canning capabilities to their growing operation.
The brewery’s flagship Orange Wheat is a natural choice for canning as it’s light, refreshing, and perfect for taking on outdoor adventures.
Even more exciting to us is Helles Lager in cans; this is the first time the delicious lager is being packaged by the brewery! It is another great session beer that we foresee being a go-to brew for Spring and Summer. If you’ve never had the chance to try it on draught, it’s a well-balanced pale lager with a delicate malty sweetness and crisp finish that goes great with sunshine and cool breezes. Okay, that sounds a little dorky, but I really enjoy that beer and am excited to be able to take it camping next year.
We are working to confirm the retail formats and pricing for the 12oz cans, but from the above graphic we’d guess that the cans will be offered in 12-packs. The first cans should be hitting the Redlands tasting room on December 9th and the distribution pipeline by mid-December.
