The canning line has been busy at Golden Road Brewery lately, and the brewery has just announced a new seasonal offering in cans for all your Summer adventures and added a another beer to their year-round lineup.
Summer Time Refresher
The Cabrillo Kolsch began rolling off the canning line today, and the light and easy-drinking beer by new Brewmaster Jesse Houck will surely be a perfect summer-time quencher at home pool-side, beach-side, or on the trail.
Sean over at Beer Search Party broke the news of plans to can the beer way back in January, but we’d honestly forgotten that we were anticipating a summer release of the crisp ale.
You can score some cans of the new beer at the pub right now, and it will be rolling out to GRB’s retail accounts over the next few weeks.
Howl at the Moon
Another piece of exciting news from the brewery today is their decision to move fan-favorite Wolf Among Weeds from the seasonal release schedule of their Custom IPA series and make it a year-round offering.
That’s right, cans of the Wolf will be available to satiate your hop-tooth all year long! No longer will you have to anger the gods of freshness by hoarding pint cans of the hoppy brew.
Can you tell we’re excited about this?
Heal the Bay IPA
Keeping that canning line busy, the brewery still plans to release cans of the next beer in their Custom IPA series in June. Heal the Bay IPA.
The “bright, citrus-forward, summertime drinking IPA, with Citra, Centennial, and New Zealand hop varieties” made it debut on Earth Day at the Santa Monica Pier, and GRB President Meg Gill had this to say about the project:
“I surf most weekends in Santa Monica, and I fell in love with Heal the Bay when I saw the work they were doing to protect the shoreline after a storm. Heal the Bay’s work is an integral part of keeping our beaches clean and safe, and we’re excited to collaborate on a project that will benefit their cause.”
We missed the initial offering of the new beer, but reports are that it is another hop-blast by Brewmaster Houck.
You’ll be able to score 4-packs sometime in June!
