What beer are you most looking forward to to kick off your Friday night, Brewmaster?
Hmmm. I might get into all that Schlafly that Cameron brought us, and maybe that Pretty Things Jack D’Or.
Mmmm Green Flash Summer Saison…
Must be on the lookout for the Field Mouse Farewell too!
Tempted to just buy a case… But that is a little excessive.
I’m hoping to get some Mikkeller 1000 IBU this afternoon. Fingers crossed the keg hasn’t run dry!
oooh, I want to hear about that one! Good luck! How was the food-fair?
It was good. It’s always been more of a wine than a beer affair, but there were four craft breweries this time (Tuatara, Harringtons, Wigram and Mike’s Organic), plus one importer of UK craft beers, and no big commercial breweries. I tasted about 18 beers and 42 wines. Mike’s Whisky Porter and Tuatara Aotearoa Pale Ale were my picks of the Show.
Oh, and some Ø for Awesome.
So what did you brew yesterday?
I had a cascade brewing spring sasion last night and a rye red… The red felt so flat and heavy after the sasion, probaly would have liked it more on its own
I had a bunch of grain and hops, but I did not remember what I was planning to brew with them, so I ended up brewing an English-style IPA with a lot of Munich Malt and German hops.
I’m not sure if I’m going to dry hop it or not.
