The end of January is shaping up to be jam-packed with marquee craft beer events in Los Angeles! Beside the Winter Situation at Golden Road that we told you about last week there are two more big parties planned, and they’re both on January 26th!
First up is Eagle Rock Brewing’s Third Anniversary Party at Verdugo bar. On Saturday January 26th starting at noon you can toast the crew from ERB with over 20 taps of their beers. Everything from the core line-up ,to last year’s anniversary beer The Deuce, to fan-favorites like Red Velvet and Stimulus, to a new anniversary beer brewed to celebrate the start of the brewery’s fourth year making beer: Threes – a Rye American Strong Ale!
$15 gets you entrance to Verdugo Bar, two drinks, and a commemorative glass. Beer of Tomorrow-favorite food truck Mandolin Grill will be in the back slinging Bahn Mi and noodle bowls too. If last year’s event is any indication, this party will be popular and crowded (but well worth the lines), but you might want to get their early!
After getting your fill of Eagle Rock beers there’ll be just enough time to get down to Beer Belly (preferable on the Metro Red Line to avoid having to drive) for a Smog City Brewing tap-takeover co-hosted by The Full Pint. This will be the first in a series of beer blogger and brewery pairing events that Jimmy at Beer Belly is putting together, and it should be a blast.
In addition to 10 taps of Smog City beers, including GABF GOld winning Ground Work Coffee Porter, and two versions of Smog City’s new barrel-aged beer, there will be raffles and some other surprises (not to mention the full-slate of Chef Wes’ badass comfort foods)!
The Beer Belly Smog City + Full Pint party goes from 4pm until 8pm on the 26th.
Eat a big breakfast that day, and find a ride because it is going to be a beer-soaked Saturday!
