Ray Daniels (Twitter link), known in the craft beer world as the founder of the Cicerone Certification Program, recently posted some comments that Boston Beer Company’s founder Jim Koch made in the trade publication Craft Business Daily (subscription required) that basically amount to Koch damning canned beer.

Pennsylvania brewery Sly Fox Brewing co. has put together an infographic about the benefits of canned craft beer. The canning movement is taking the craft beer world by storm, and though canning has its detractors all signs point to more and more producers adding canning lined to their facilities.
We’ve talked a lot about canned craft beer here at Beer of Tomorrow, and we think that the benefits outweigh the negatives even when you consider all uncertainties about can’s environmental impact. After all, craft beer is all about choice, and no one is saying that cans and bottles can’t coexist. Just look at the big industrial American beer producers; they have had several different packaging options available for their lagers for years.
